Lawrence has been involved in medical and interprofessional education globally, with a
concentration in CPD, for over 30 years, authored
numerous scholarly publications, and delivered hundreds of presentations
worldwide on topics related to medical education. He is a Fellow of the Alliance
for Continuing Education in the Health Professions and a Fellow of the Royal
Society of Medicine (UK). He recently published assessments of CPD Systems in over 40 countries around the world. His interests are in global CPD, faculty development, preparing lifelong learners beginning in the undergraduate setting, and presentation and communications skills training. Currently he is working on a project to increase the capacity of formally trained CPD educators and faculty in sub-Saharan Africa. He frequently collaborates with global organizations to globalize educational activites.
