Session Description: As our community continues to become versed in the science and delivery of outcomes, we have more to learn regarding the collection and interpretation of structured and unstructured insights that, if unlocked, would complement the narrative, and elevate the impact of the work we do. It may not always be enough to have outcomes data. What should unite us is the ability to define, manage, and track patterns and observations over time to reveal the elements crucial to capture the imagination of the stakeholders we present to.
This workshop will build upon ALLIANCE presentations from 2023 and 2024 that were designed to help attendees effectively extract the right insights that are often overlooked or underutilized and to continue to master Storyteller excellence. In the first 35-minutes, faculty will provide comments on educational outcomes as data insights and storytelling strategies, as well as share successful outcome stories. During the following 35 minutes, the room will be divided into teams, with faculty serving like The Voice coaches and supporting them through an outcomes exercise. In the last 20 minutes, each team will have an opportunity present their outcomes story and receive feedback with one being chosen as the winning team.
Learning Objectives:
Translate educational outcomes into data insights.
Articulate appropriate data trends to highlight the most meaningful structured and unstructured data story relatable to all stakeholders.
Utilize storytelling, freeform, visualization, and other techniques that amplify the narrative effect.
