Description: As the capabilities of generative AI continue to expand, one thing is for sure - this technology is here to stay. However, the continuing medical education field remains uncertain about best practices and ethical considerations for using AI in our day-to-day activities. While much trepidation and skepticism surrounds the accuracy of generative AI output, the truth is this technology already has a lot to offer to improve the quality and efficiency of our work.
Especially for those who write grants, AI has the ability to create more streamlined workflows and quickly and reliably perform otherwise time-consuming tasks. The key to making AI work for you lies in knowing how to utilize and optimize available tools and best practices for ethical and responsible use of AI to ensure adherence to professional standards.
This session will review the available free and paid generative AI tools that can be used to assist with grant writing, and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of each. It will also take a deep dive into generative AI prompts and how best to get what you need out of AI tools. In addition, this session will address responsible use of AI in grant writing to adhere to industry and client standards and expectations.
Learners who attend this session will build their confidence in using AI for grant writing and better understand the importance of formulating effective prompts to generate useful output. By using interactive demonstrations, this session will provide attendees with the tools they need to successfully integrate AI tools into their workflow while maintaining the necessary transparency and ethical practices required in our profession.
