In fact, faculty are one of the most important assets of any CPD endeavor. These key individuals possess the ability to catapult a program to success, contribute to its shortcomings, or, at worst, cause it to fail to meet expectations. However, elevating educational offerings through faculty engagement doesn’t happen by chance or in isolation. It requires deep expertise, meticulous planning, effective communication, and the ability to foster a culture of mutual respect and collaboration. When executed effectively, this enhances the quality of the content, increases learner engagement and outcomes, and improves satisfaction for all involved.
Using scientific evidence and decades of real-world experience, this interactive session will focus on proven methodologies and strategies to establish, foster, and maintain productive faculty relationships. Participants will learn to identify potential faculty through a comprehensive understanding of ideal faculty attributes, including requisite skills and alignment with the program's educational goals, explore the art of crafting compelling invitation letters, and prepare for faculty calls in a way that maximizes productivity for all and is respectful of time. In addition, the program will provide concrete examples of effective communication techniques and successful faculty engagement strategies as well as common challenges and strategies to address them.
